Welcome to the Theakstons Old Peculier Big Read 2012!
The Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival, Harrogate’s 2012 Big Read title is the masterful mystery On Beulah Height. Come along to one of our special Big Read events to share your thoughts on this haunting crime novel by Reginald Hill.
Festival Reader-In-Residence Martyn Waites will be taking a whistle stop tour of the North of England to meet readers in Yorkshire and the North East.
Thanks to the generous support of publisher Harper Collins, the Festival will be distributing a limited number of free copies of the Big Read book via our partner libraries in Leeds, North Yorkshire, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Stockton. Reading groups in these areas wishing to take part in the Big Read should email: crime@harrogate-festival.org.uk for more information.
